Position Summary:
The Sustainability Director will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the Company's sustainability processes and initiatives to ensure that the company operates in an environmentally responsible and conscious manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for setting the overall sustainability vision and strategy for the company.
* Oversees multiple sustainability programs, initiatives and teams across different departments or business units.
* Tasked with stakeholder engagement, representing the company's sustainability efforts to investors, regulators, customers, and other external parties.
* Under direction, responsible for coordinating and supporting the Company's sustainability processes and initiatives.
* Research and analyze external market activities, peer sustainability initiatives, and legislative and executive branch sustainability developments and initiatives.
* Make recommendations for courses of actions and strategies to enhance sustainability profile.
* Liaise with internal shareholders within Leonardo DRS and Leonardo to collect, verify, and analyze sustainability data, including environmental safety, health, and welfare (EHS), human resources, corporate social responsibility, and supply chain activities.
* Responsible for understanding the portfolio of sustainability activities across the business, including those under development.
* Assist in development of executive level of presentations from initial storyboarding to logical structuring to presentation and delivery.
* Works at strategic level to integrate sustainability into the company's overall business strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, with a focus or coursework in Sustainability related research or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 8 plus years of relevant experience
* Experience in a consultant research, government, or analyst role.
* Demonstrated capability in and familiarity with sustainability initiatives.
* Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills
* Proficient with MS Office Suite to include PowerPoint and Excel
* Planning, organization, and time management skills
