OverviewMicrosoft AI is looking for a talented Growth Engineering Manager to help build the next wave of capabilities of our personalized AI assistant, Copilot. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical contributions alongside leadership. The Growth engineering team is responsible for user acquisition, engagement, retention, and feature development that drives rapid growth, while collaborating with our Product Management, Design, Data Scientists, and AI Research teams to deliver impactful results. Our newly formed organization, Microsoft AI (MAI), is dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research. The team is responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research. Come be a part of the team shaping the future personal computing. ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on growth-related projects. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Hands-on Coding: Contribute directly to the codebase, especially on complex growth-related projects. Take on critical tasks such as mobile features, API development, and scalable system design. Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code. Growth Strategy Execution: Work with product managers, data scientists, and marketing to implement strategies that drive user growth, engagement, and retention. This includes optimizing onboarding flows, improving product features, and delivering scalable infrastructure. Engineering Excellence: Drive best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes. Ensure high-quality code delivery and system reliability while maintaining performance at scale. Data-Driven Decision Making: Partner closely with data science teams to analyze user behavior, A/B testing results, and other growth experiments to optimize product features and drive user engagement. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new features that support growth initiatives. Work with leadership to align technical solutions with business goals. Roadmap Development: Own the technical roadmap for the growth engineering team, balancing short-term delivery with long-term technical investments that enable scaling and efficiency. User Feedback Integration: Ensure the product continually evolves based on user feedback and market trends, driving features that improve user satisfaction and retention. Embody ourCultureandValues.
