Are you ready to sprinkle some fun into your day? Acme Meijer is hiring doughnut makers who love to work independently with little or no supervising. You'll learn all about how our doughnuts are made and how to operate the equipment. You will make sure our doughnuts meet all quality and food safety standards before packing them up gently or adding them to the case. You'll also add filling, icing and other toppings like sprinkles to make them look and taste delicious. Other tasks include, but not limited to: * Prepare work area and equipment for donut finishing * Remove donuts and rolls from freezer and prepare for finishing * Place Danish, cinnamon rolls and other items on trays and ready for baking * Heat donuts and rolls in oven prior to glazing or icing * Ice and garnish rolls * Review special orders and prepare as needed * Clean work area * Prepare icings and glazing area for the next day * Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines Work with chemicals used in cleaning and sanitizing Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality TRAINING PROVIDED. Build rapport with customers. Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language. Respond to customer questions in an effective manner. Stock product and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards. Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks. Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers. This position is applicable to the following departments: Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Grocery. What skills will you use? You are detail-oriented and organized. Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually. Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology. Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary. Process-driven with ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way. Ability to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment. Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Meijer starts with me.
