The Senior Client Accounting Coordinator will play a vital role in the efficient and accurate processing of new client accounts. Their responsibilities will include streamlining the intake process, ensuring precise client and timekeeper data, mentoring junior team members, fostering effective communication, and developing comprehensive documentation.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed:

  • Sets up and maintains all case data (special bill rates, discounts, and disbursement overrides) in compliance with client billing and e-billing guidelines.
  • Using an understanding of how Aderant master file data is reflected on invoices and in reporting, advises on the custom setup of complex client engagements and communicates the process to the billing team. This responsibility may include discussing workflow changes and requesting that custom data fields be added to our database to capture case data accurately.
  • Works with Practice Development and other Corporate and Admin Departments in ensuring case data is updated for their reporting needs. This responsibility may include requesting custom data fields be added to our database and learning the downstream effect of adding new data fields.
  • Works with the Manager, Client Accounting and Financial Systems in programming data quality checks for the various data setup requirements (eg, VAT requirement fields for European office invoices, currency, MSA rate and discount applications) not currently captured in our Case intake software.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • 3+ years of accounting, billing, data management or client intake related experience.
  • In depth knowledge of data management and service provider billing software with knowledge of Aderant being a plus. A strong ability to troubleshoot technical problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office required including Excel skills of VLookup and Pivot tables.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Experience with SQL a plus.
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions.
  • The mindset to provide superior service.
  • High School diploma, or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.

FOR CALIFORNIA ONLY: Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position between $59,200.00 and $78,100.00. A job offer will depend on how closely a candidate's skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
