Laboratory Services Technician I

Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Services Technician to join our team.

As a Laboratory Services Technician (LST) at Regions Hospital you will:

• Perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of laboratory specimens on patients of all ages.
• Maintain laboratory and cardiology equipment and supplies.
• Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by nursing policies and procedures.
• Accurately perform and deliver an ECG tracking as directed by cardiology policies and procedures.
• Receive and respond to telephone inquiries about laboratory processes and results.
• Provides professional and respectful customer service to all patients and their family members, healthcare providers and staff.
• Participate in training of new personnel and any student clinical rotations.
• Perform related functions as assigned.

Work schedule: FTE: .7 (28 hrs. weekly), Night Shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Health care experience to include phlebotomy or IV insertion.
