Position Title: Assistant Professor of Counseling (Hiring Two Positions) Employment Type: Full time, Faculty, Salaried Reports To:TheAssistant Professor of Counseling will report to the Chair of the Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience department. Pay Range: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program in the Department of Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience of the College of Natural and Health Sciences is expanding. We are inviting applications for 2 full-time (9-month), tenure-track assistant professor positions for our online program. Both positions are scheduled to begin in August of 2025. Tenure-track positions include teaching (24 credits or 6 courses per year), research, and service responsibilities.Opportunities to teach additional courses in the summer and winterim semesters may be available in both the CMHC and undergraduate psychology programs for additional compensation depending upon the needs of the Department. Successful candidates will have an earned doctorate in counseling or counselor education, experience teaching across the curriculum in CMHC, experience supervising clinical mental health counseling students, and demonstrated experience in online education. All positions will provide clinical supervision and advisement to students in the CMHC program, contribute service to UW-Parkside, the College of Natural and Health Sciences, the Department, the profession, and/or the community, along with, other duties as assigned.
