Senior Product Managers ensure our clients accomplish their goals by delivering exceptional products through the planning and execution of quality digital solutions. This starts with understanding the problems that need to be solved and making sure the product team stays focused on solving them. They need to see the whole picture from concept to delivery by understanding our client's strategic goals and product requirements, defining features and implementation details, and prioritizing phases of the build to ensure delivery of the highest quality product.

This position reports to the Lead Product Development Manager

Salary Range: $138,000 - $150,000

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the project team, closely aligned with the Project Manager, Strategist and Technical Lead.
  • Clearly understand and embrace the business vision, strategic goals and functional requirements for the digital product. Coordinate with members of the cross-functional project team to build a product that delivers on the product goals and within project scope.
  • Manage a detailed Jira roadmap, aligning with the product roadmap, through ongoing definition and documentation of sprints, epics, features, components and tasks that will be part of the product scope, and ensure ongoing alignment throughout the development process.
  • Build and manage the product backlog of user stories and defects. Work with the development team to prioritize user stories and ensure product status is communicated in a timely and effective manner. Validate that the completed stories meet acceptance criteria and that appropriate testing has been completed prior to release to production.
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline product management tasks such as feature prioritization, backlog management, and sprint planning, improving efficiency and ensuring data-driven decision-making throughout the product development process.
  • Ensure digital accessibility compliance by integrating accessibility testing into the product development lifecycle, collaborating with development and QA teams to meet WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards and ensure that products are usable by all users, including those with disabilities.
  • Support the Content and Development team on definition of the content model and execution of content migration process.
  • Serve as Product Owner to drive the agile development of digital products, features and process enhancements. Lead/Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning meetings, and sprint reviews and retrospectives. Demonstrate developed functionalities during sprint reviews.
  • Identify feature and scope changes as needed during the development cycle to ensure the product strategy remains in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Lead/participate in client-facing milestone review and UAT and obtain/process client feedback for incorporation into future milestones.
  • Conduct QA functional testing on a regular sprint cadence when needed, coordinating with the QA team on test plans and project status.
  • Coordinate with the Content team on product documentation, user guides and user training , ensuring a successful hand off of the final product.
  • Manage and/or mentor members of the product team including, product managers, associate product managers and quality assurance specialists.
  • Train and provide project delegation to other product team members on the project.
  • Contribute to the overall growth of Phase2 by developing thought leadership pieces, lead guild initiatives and ensuring best practices for the product team.
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5-7 years working with cross functional teams of Project Management, UX, Design, and Development to define, document, and prioritize product features and user stories for digital products is a must.
  • Experience in a wide-range of technical projects and managing concurrent projects.
  • Requires proven ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Requires strong communication (verbal and written) skills with other team members and clients.
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills, computer skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Understanding and experience with iterative application development including agile development methodologies such as SCRUM & KANBAN.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner.
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.2 Guidelines.
  • Possess an interest in learning new technologies, techniques, and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience at digital agencies is highly valued. Consulting or web development background a plus, though not required.
  • Knowledge of common web-based applications including data driven websites/portals, web services, content management systems (CMS), contact relationship management (CRM), e-commerce (EC), membership management and online community solutions.
  • Previous experience with various levels of quality assurance testing and developing QA test plans is a plus.

Environment

Physical Demands

  • Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional adjusting or moving of light objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
  • Continuous communication on live video chats, calls, and through emails and messaging platforms for the purpose of exchanging information.
  • Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Travel (approx. 5% - 15%) when required.
