The UVA Outpatient Therapy Services team is seeking an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist for their wheelchair seating clinic in Charlottesville, VA.
This position is for a full time Wheelchair Seating Specialist position that will work in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department for seating evaluations of complex clients. This position requires self-sufficiency and self-direction as it will be the sole lead therapist for the seating clinic.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ATP certification or SMS certification preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Experience: 6 months relevant experience. Licensure: Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires frequently bending/stooping/walking (distance: mile). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
