Our Franklin, WI office is seeking a dedicated Drinking Water Engineer . In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients by developing innovative water solutions, maintaining infrastructure integrity, and protecting public health and natural resources. Working in conjunction with a subject matter expert in this highly technical and important field, you will join a collaborative team that leverages the latest technology and supports your professional growth and development throughout your engineering career. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical engineering design and development of projects related to drinking water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution.
  • Prepare comprehensive design plans, specifications, and bid documents for various water system construction projects, encompassing water wells, treatment plants, storage facilities, booster stations, and other distribution infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed technical reports pertaining to drinking water for submission to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously enhance discipline-specific standard work procedures, training programs, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) systems.
  • Collaborate with the Water Technical Competency Leader to shape the technical vision and strategic direction for the drinking water discipline.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in municipal drinking water engineering within the engineering consulting industry.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain aPE License within 24 monthsof start date. Foth will provide support monetarily and through study time and materials.
  • Experience in relevant software for water system modeling.
