Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Mid Business Analyst to join our US Transportation Command - US Transportation Command - Global Transportation Planning and Groups Operational Passenger System (GTP) (GOPAX) team. The Mid Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between customers and developers, ensuring that software systems meet user requirements and function as expected. They are responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in the development of solutions. The role includes coordinating internal and functional testing, preparing documentation, and presenting potential solutions to customers through demonstrations and slide presentations. The Mid Business Analyst also actively participates in Agile practices such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and Joint Advisory Design (JAD) sessions. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and automated testing tools, along with excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

This position is onsite at Scott AFB.



Duties & Responsibilities

    Collaborate with Customers and Developers on software system requirements and assist with associated solutions.
  • Responsible for fielding Help Desk calls and troubleshooting associated issues.
  • Responsible for completing Internal Testing and Functional Testing for all projects assigned.
  • Demonstrate potential solutions based on original requirements, allowing a visual for the customer.
  • Prepare slides for the customer to support the demonstrated requirements.
  • Prepare Test Recommendation documents to prove software functions as expected, which include step by step instructions to prove the code changes have been met.
  • Participate in daily stand-up scrum calls.
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
  • Participate in Joint Advisory Design (JAD) Sessions.
  • Prepare slides outlining the original requirements, questions and possible solutions.
  • Self-manage all assignments and meet all deadlines for projects and tasks.
  • Provide support to the testers as needed.


Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of related experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Confluence (or similar platforms) for documentation, collaboration, and knowledge management.
  • Proficient in using tools like JUnit, Cucumber, SoapUI, or Cypress for creating and managing automated test suites.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and tools such as Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA), SonarQube, Nessus/ACAS, and WebInspect for source code vulnerability mitigation and remediation.
  • Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically in addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
