Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking 6 Junior Developers to join the GTP-GOPAX development team. Junior Developers will support the design, coding, debugging, testing, and maintenance of web applications while learning and growing within a dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, Agile environment, working closely with senior developers and technical leads.

This position is onsite at Scott AFB.



Duties & Responsibilities

    Assist in the development of web applications and services using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
  • Participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial coding to troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Collaborate with senior and mid-level developers to implement code according to defined specifications, following best practices for secure and efficient development.
  • Support software testing efforts, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Engage in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint reviews, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Assist in refactoring legacy code to improve system efficiency and scalability, under the supervision of more experienced developers.
  • Help maintain and update system documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and deployment procedures.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and provide system maintenance support, including bug fixing and performance optimization.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices within the team.


Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, other related disciplines, or technical training
  • Basic proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages such as HTML/CSS and SQL.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Angular 2, Spring Boot, or similar.
  • Experience working in Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux - RHEL) and Windows environments.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Basic understanding of secure coding practices and familiarity with tools such as Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA) or SonarQube.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.
  • Eagerness to grow in a fast-paced, Agile environment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
