Job Title: Loan Preclosing Support Specialist III

Physical Location: 2778 West Jackson Street, Bldg C, Tupelo MS 38803

Primary Purpose: (Summary of major reason this job exists)

This position will assist lenders and their staff to close loans with a minimum amount of exceptions, booking errors, regulatory issues and any other bank related concerns.

This position will perform preclosing reviews of commercial purpose loans, consisting of all types of collateral and borrowers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned)

Review commercial loan applications (requests for credit) prior to closing/taking action for compliance with applicable Federal Regulation

Maintain knowledge of applicable Federal Regulations and assist in the implementation of corporate compliance with current regulations, changes in regulations, and the addition of new regulations

Understand practical application of and implementing the requirement of following the Cadence lending policies and procedures.

Master Platform 2, loan platform system, with a skill set that exceeds that of a standard end user

Understand the basic principles of commercial lending, including entity formations, lien descriptions, documentation requirements, etc. for all types of collateral and specialty loans.

Clear communication to the lender and assistant of corrections or requirements necessary to process a loan through the loan system with a minimum of errors or maintenance to the loan after closing

Maintain consistency within the department by following loan policy and procedures.

Job Specifications: (Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)

High school diploma or equivalent

Two - Four years of loan preparation and processing experience

Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations preferred

Knowledge of basic commercial lending principles

Good computer skills Google, ALS, loan platform

Close attention to detail and good organizational skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines
