Role
- The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor ensures that Alstom meets client commitments as well as asset management commitments of safety, asset stewardship, reliability, and cost for facilities equipment located at the Authority's (SCRRA) commuter rail maintenance facilities, layover facilities and associated systems such as power distribution, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, buildings.
- Ensure the development of programs to appropriately maintain or extend the life of the Facilities assets
- Supervise the work of custodial and maintenance personnel (facility technicians) who maintain the facilities, as well as manage service contractors.
- Plan daily activities and schedule maintenance assignments for preventive and corrective maintenance of the SCRRA train maintenance facility and station.
- Coordinate the work schedules for the facilities maintenance team.
- Develop and enforce facility operations policies and procedures.
- Coordinate routine inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage the inventory of equipment and supplies needed for facility operations.
- Understand the evolving needs of the Authority (SCRRA) and endeavor to provide the highest level of customer service achievable by introducing innovative and effective solutions.

Requirements

- Possessing a Class B - General Building Contractor license in California (must)
- 5 years' experience or understanding of managing general construction projects and engineering.
- Knowledge of maintenance of facility equipment including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC.
- Ability to provide technical oversight and supervision to a team of skilled technicians.
- Understanding of contract management, including experience with subcontracts.
- Being able to negotiate and oversee subcontracts effectively.
- Aptitude for responding to customer feedback and facility-related requests.
- Capacity to assist in quoting new jobs and working with vendors to secure optimal pricing.
