Job Purpose: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for estimating, planning, executing, and closing North Slope Construction projects, EPC projects, and general management duties for the portfolio of projects within Worley's Alaska business unit. We are a general contractor engaging in multi-disciplinary construction, primarily in Alaska's upstream Oil and Gas industry, as well as a full spectrum service provider on Alaska's North Slope. The position is located in Anchorage and is a full-time, town-based position, with occasional travel to the North Slope. - Initiates and maintains positive working relationships with client representatives within each facility, as well as other internal and external customers to facilitate project activities. Understands current and future customer needs and continually strives to exceed customer expectations.
- Possesses a basic understanding and knowledge of the terms and conditions of contracts, including the scope of work and associated client deliverables. Manages work in accordance with project goals, contract and customer requirements and expectations, including performance, quality, compliance and safety as outlined in the contract terms and conditions.
- Regularly seeks customer feedback, measures customer satisfaction and acts on results to improve performance.
- Adheres to Work Execution Plan expectations, including assigning work in accordance with work management processes and ensures the safe execution of work within the planned and approved scope, job plans, timelines and approved budgets.
- Evaluates risks, consequences and impacts of activities on customers and other key individuals as well as what in the business may potentially cause harm to people or property.
- Supports the organization-wide approach to continuous improvement (CI) by working to improve processes, procedures and systems through CI initiatives, measurement and evaluation
- Drives, promotes and instills a culture of "Safety Leadership" that is incident and injury free and in which all employees feel responsible for safety and pursue it on a daily basis.
- Promotes a safety culture that supports and encourages employees to go beyond the "call of duty" to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and are comfortable intervening to correct inappropriate behaviors and concerns.
- Educates and trains employees on the requirement to assess the risks applicable to tasks and required work. Ensures they have the understanding and capability to implement appropriate procedures and/or controls to reduce risk to an acceptable level and that each use any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Communicates the organization's goals and ensures employees understand the importance of their contribution to the organization towards delivering results.
- Manages performance and employee development. Drives productivity through expectation setting, direct feedback and coaching, addressing areas of concern/competence with each team member
- Monitors training and compliance with contract and company safety and environmental procedures and policies; documents and ensures that corrective measures are implemented when required
- Participates in, and supports, the Alaska Competency Assurance Program including completion of assessments for staff as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to effectively correspond with clients, and the project management team.
- The construction manager is responsible for delivering projects safely, on-schedule, and within budget, by coordinating resources and managing project scope.
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and execute high priority jobs in a timely manner that involve multiple crafts (demolition, fabrication, civil, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation, functional checkout, etc.)
- Ability to use tools and equipment applicable to petrochemical construction or related maintenance operation
- Ability and knowledge to interpret blueprints and redline drawings of all disciplines, including P&IDs.
- Knowledge of technical and safety policies, procedures and standards applicable to the maintenance craft
- Ability to communicate clear direction to project staff, work crew leads, workers, management and client representatives
- Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers; and demonstrate commitment to established safety policies and procedures
- Ability to direct others in planning and scheduling work execution
- Ability to recognize and correct gaps in the safe execution of field maintenance work scope
- Ability to effectively manage and lead maintenance crews
- Possess strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to estimate construction efforts with a high degree of reliability
- Ability to analyze project costs and revenue, and influence positive change to the financial performance of the project

Minimum Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years' experience in industrial construction
- Five (5) years' experience in a Project Management role
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or Construction Management, or additional ten (10) years' experience in craft construction
- Three (3) years' experience on the North Slope
