The Business Analyst will focus on capturing and understanding the business requirements at a user story level.

This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE with a hybrid 50% in the office work environment. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship. #LI-Hybrid / #LI-Onsite

What will you do?

  • Participate and collaborate on an Agile development team

  • Understand the overall business flow by working with Product Owners, subject matter experts (SMEs) and business teams on a regular basis

  • Define improvements to business processes and products

  • Assist decision-makers in gathering information in order to make informed decisions

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Quality Assurance (QA) to identify and write the detailed requirements of test cases creating and maintaining business and product artifacts

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

  • Insurance coverages and rating schemes and insurance products

Who would excel in this role?

  • Knowledge of property casualty rating and policy coverages and endorsements

  • Experience with business analysis or project management

  • Experience working in application lifecycle management tools such as DevOps, JIRA, or Rally

  • SQL knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of the organization and individuals outside of the organization, including vendors
