ASTRION has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, Chemical Test Division (CTD), in support of the ARMY Division.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Dugway Proving Ground, UT

JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: Estimated at 10%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret
  • EDUCATION: The Project Manager assigned to CTD must have a Baccalaureate degree in science or engineering from an accredited university.
  • EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
    • A minimum of five years of project management experience with Department of Defense contracts, preferably chemical or biological defense programs; or equivalent.
    • Must have experience in leading multidisciplinary teams of chemists, scientists, and/or engineers in the planning and execution of test programs.
    • Must have experience in marketing, identifying customer requirements, developing cost-effective solutions, leading proposal efforts, preparing cost estimates, planning, and executing multiple projects.
    • Must be experienced in the development and management of work breakdown structures and earned value management measurements.
    • Must have demonstrated ability in monitoring, reporting, and presenting overall project cost, schedule, and performance to the customer.
  • ADDITIONAL:
    • Must be proficient in using MS Project or similar project management software.
    • Must be competent in basic computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams of scientists and/or engineers in the planning and execution of test programs in experimental/laboratory environments in areas related to chemical/biological defense.
