Requisition ID:74420 Job Description TheMobile Solutionsteamlocated inIrvine is home to Skyworks' design center for RF front-end solutions, power amplifiers, switches and controllers for GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN and WiMAX applications. It has a challenging opportunity for a University Studentavailable for a6-month work term starting in January 2025 to June 2025. As an RF Design Validation/Testing Co-opstudent, youwill apply sound engineering skills to a variety of task and project assignments in the area of electronics, design engineering, and semiconductor component test development. Responsibilities ThisRF Design Validation/Testing Co-Opwill support RF test evaluation of RFIC's and multichip modules. The student will perform RF tests, evaluate and summarize results, and present data to design engineers. The Co-op will also be involved in the design evaluation, simulation and debugging of RF switches, Filters, Couplers, PA's, LNA'sand FEM's. Job Requirements Must be currently enrolledin an Electrical Engineering Bachelor or Master Degree's program, andmust be returning to school after the completion of this Co-Op(will not consider graduated students) Requires background in RF/microwave design.Knowledgeable in RF testing and RF equipment setup. The person should understand RF parameters and be able to communicate effectively.Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is an asset RFIC Design and Simulation experience will be a plus Experience in using RF equipment such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources Proficient in data processing and presentation tools such as Matlab, MS Excel and PowerPoint. Good data summary and presentation skills are desired. Strong proficiency in Excel and data organization. The student should be a self-starter and enjoy being hands-on. Excellent communication and presentation skills #LI-DJ1 The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
