History 2C is a survey of the peoples, cultures, and social, economic, and political systems that have characterized the world's major civilizations in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania from 1700 CE to the present. Anticipated enrollment is 432 students. In addition to lecturing, the successful applicant will supervise 8 graduate Teaching Assistants. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position.
