Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
- Contract Administration duties will be in support of multiple contracts within the Next Generation Vehicles, Advanced Programs and Material Readiness portfolio
- Lead proposal preparation efforts, negotiations, execution of modifications, correspondence and customer interface for sole source and/or competitive procurements
- Responsible for moderately complex cost type and fixed price contracts
- Ensure all contracts activity is in compliance with the internal and external audit policies
- Provide guidance on contractual obligations.
- Coordinate all required approvals and notifications pursuant to contract administration procedures and company standard practices
- Participate and advise in the preparation of quotations, bids and proposals
- Follow-up and tracking of customer correspondence and issues
- Interface with internal and external customers to ensure prompt resolution of problems and effective day-to-day communications
- Organize, track and input data to support department metrics and quality initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Sought
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Science or appropriate Liberal Arts (other bachelor degrees or disciplines considered with experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience with contracts (DoD experience desired)
- Adherence to schedules and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and accomplish tasks in a timely and professional manner
- Reading, interpreting, drafting contractual language and documents
- Knowledgeable in the FAR and DFARS preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Detail oriented, hardworking and enthusiastic
- Ability to work independently when requested
- Representing the company in a highly professional manner and exemplifying core values
- Some travel required
