Job Summary:

The Assistant Clinical Director will assist in the day-to-day clinical operation and oversight of the Center. The management spectrum covers planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. The Assistant Clinical Director will act as intermediary between OR staff and the rest of the surgical center during operation and procedures.

Responsibilities:



  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, and assessing.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, nationally recognized guidelines and regulations.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to staff, management and physicians.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, medical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
  • Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before , during and after procedure.
  • Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
  • Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.



Qualifications:



  • Registered Nurse must have experience in operating room, PACU, or Pre-Admission in a endoscopic or surgical setting. OR Experience required with ability to scrub and circulate preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • A current license from the State.
  • Current BCLS certification and ACLS required.
