POSITION SUMMARY:
Since the introduction

The EDI Analyst position is responsible for ensuring that all
internal EDI related IT systems and functions of the business run smoothly and
effectively on a daily basis. This includes both internal
user and systems support. This position also helps to set high level IT policy
and protocols. This is a regular, full-time position, Monday-Friday,
however, the EDI Analyst must be flexible and able to work other shifts and
weekends as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage
    EDI tasks related to Baan and D365 FO transition project.
  • Manage
    EDI provider resources and provide quality control for deliverables.
  • Coordinate
    Targus business review and approval of EDI provided data in D365 FO.
  • Gather
    EDI data required for testing.
  • Coordinate
    testing with trading partners as required.
  • Primary
    contact for EDI trading partners, manage requests with trading partners.
  • Primary
    day-to-day contact for EDI service provider.
  • Facilitate
    requests from business with provider.
  • Facilitate
    escalations to business from provider.
  • Provide
    quality control for document testing.
  • Monitor
    production environment of EDI service provider.
  • Provide
    EDI expertise as needed.
  • Perform special assignments and complete ad hoc projects as
    needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education,
Experience, and Competencies
  • A
    bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or other
    relevant major is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in
    technology, including 3+ years in EDI specific position.
  • Experience working in a
    global company with many time zones.
  • Demonstrated strong technical aptitude and capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and
    passion for delivery an outstanding customer service
  • Demonstrated success in a role requiring strong
    attention to details, teamwork, and initiative
  • Knowledge
    of EDI concepts including the following documents (ANSI & EDIFACT):
    • ANSI:
      214, 753, 754, 810, 812, 816, 820, 824, 830, 832, 846, 850, 852, 855, 856, 860,
      861, 864, 867, 870, 888, 940, 944, 945, 947, 997
    • EDIFACT:
      APERAK, CONTRL, DESADV, GENRAL, IFTSTA, INVOIC, INVRPT, ORDERS, ORDRSP, RECADV,
      REMADV, SLSRPT
  • Knowledge
    of data translation concepts using the following formats:
    • EDI
    • Flat
      File (delimited, positional)
    • XML
  • Ability
    to understand and create EDI specification documents.
  • Knowledge
    of True Commerce Transaction Manager and D365 FO EDI module
  • Familiarity
    of Microsoft Dynamics D365 FO.
  • EDI Translation software experience - specifically TLE
    (Trusted Link Enterprise)
  • Unix skills
  • Knowledge
    of AS2 communications - preferable knowledge of VLTrader software.




Physical Demands and
Environmental Factors:
  • Flexibility and ability to work non-standard business hours.
  • Ability to work in an office environment as well as in a remote
    home office environment
  • Own method of transportation to and from work.
  • Constant
    ability to remain in a stationary position, move about inside an office or
    remote setting.

  • Push,
    pull, lift or carry at least 10 lbs. on occasion: minimal kneeling,
    bending and squatting.
  • Able
    to perform repetitive motion with wrist, hands, and fingers.
