Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Department in the College of Health Professions welcomes applications for a part-time, temporary Teaching Assistant. The Teaching Assistant will assist program faculty with delivery of course material during laboratory skill sessions and assist with the administration or courses.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and goals of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, the College of Health Professions, and the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program
  • Assist Course Faculty in teaching including laboratory sessions, student assessments, and educational patient activities
  • Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that respects and values the diversity of students
  • Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students

Conditions of Employment

  • Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check
  • Must have proof of COVID 19 vaccination or a university approved exemption

Required Education & Experience

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree
  • License eligible in Illinois/scheduled to take NPTE examination
  • Must achieve background check clearance

  • Demonstration of excellence in communication, teamwork, organization and critical thinking are essential components for success in this position
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management skills, strong work ethic and high level of integrity
  • Ability to work in an interprofessional, collaborative setting
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and their application in the classroom and clinical settings
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and advancements in the field of physical therapy relative to area of expertise
