Lubbock Coordinator - Clinical Research 39087BR Kinesiology and Sport Management Position Description Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants. About the Department and/or College The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management offers a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.S. in Kinesiology for over 1,400 undergraduate and 40 graduate students, respectively. The department enrolls over 400 undergraduate students in the B.S. in Sport Management and over 50 master's degree students in the M.S. in Sport Management. It also offers a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. Its building includes six classrooms, a student computer lab, and faculty offices. Major/Essential Functions Facilitate and coordinate the daily clinical trial activities funded by the National Institute on Aging (R01AG084597; PIs: Drs. Luk & Levitt). Works with the PIs, department, sponsor, and institution to support compliance, financial, personnel, and other related aspects of the clinical study. Recruit and screen participants. Communicate, schedule, explain the risks and benefits of the study and obtain informed consent. Execute study visits in compliance with study guidelines. Produce reports and ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards (e.g., GCP guidelines, HIPAA requirements, etc.). Provide regular updates on study progress and addressing any issues or concerns. Maintain accurate and organized study documentation, including informed consent forms, study logs, and regulatory submissions. Keep current with developments in the field of clinical research, including new regulations, guidelines, and best practices. Required Qualifications High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for the required experience on a year for year basis.
