Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedules for new product introduction to PEC
  • Coordinate and execute new engine program schedules with other PACCAR divisions
  • Lead multi-functional project teams from Logistics, Quality and Operations responsible for acquiring of new parts, developing line side supply solutions and quality validation of new processes.
  • Coordinate with Section Manager for Process Engineering to define manufacturing processes and to update documentation: SOPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Layout Changes.
  • Monitor progress on the simultaneous engineering for new product development projects
  • Assist in planning and implementation of process changes within the given program schedule
  • Coordinate with Section Manager for Process Engineering to specify and to procure equipment for new product manufacturing
  • Ensure on-time effort of equipment commissioning with respect to given program schedule
  • Develop and monitor budgets for new product introduction to PEC

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • B.S. Degree (Engineering Preferred)
  • Minimum five(5) years experience
  • Experience with Visual Management/Project Management Tools
  • Experience in complex machining, assembly and project engineering assignments
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others
  • Ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals

Desired

  • MBA or Advanced Engineering Degree (Prefer Project Management)
  • Three (3) or more years experience in engine manufacturing or new product launch
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience in a simultaneous engineering style project environment
  • PMP Certification
