The Role:

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA. is seeking an Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for design, detailing and documenting mechanical and electro-mechanical systems used in Ultra-High Purity (UHP) gas purification system products.

What You'll Do:

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies for new and legacy UHP gas purification systems.
  • Create concepts to be used in the development of new products.
  • Size and select components as required to meet UHP gas purifier system requirements.
  • Create solid models, drawings, procedures and other required documents to support development of systems.
  • Perform and document mathematical computations and other analysis as required to support product design.
  • Work with component suppliers and operations to ensure products meet design requirements.
  • Assist in prototype testing as needed.
  • Work in a fast paced highly productive environment where projects and direction can change quickly while creating thorough and detailed designs and documentation.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data.
  • Solidworks 3D CAD and 2D drawings experience.
  • Draftsight/AutoCAD 2D CAD experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization.
  • Prior internship and/or work experience a plus.
