Position Description:


Ryerson has an opportunity for a Loader position. As a Loader, safety is priority. This role is responsible for operating a forklift and overhead crane

This position is 2nd shift. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Safety is a priority - you will learn proper safety measures via online and in-person training
* You start the day reviewing production orders then preparing your material for processing
* You ensure the material meets a customer's expectations by checking the size, finish, and accuracy of the finished product (Measure twice, cut once)
* You will use a crane and/or forklift to move material for outbound shipping
* Check to make sure your machine and station is in working order and identify any issues
* You will keep your work area clean and ensure that all workplace hazards are reported immediately
* Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice


Position Requirements:


* High School Diploma or GED required
* Must be able to operate overhead cranes, drive tow motors, tractor trailers on company property and be familiar with all product lines
*Fill in for loader primary job function, is to assist the loader operator with loading steel of company trucks and outside common carrier
*Unload incoming trucks, operate all equipment safely, perform all other duties assigned by supervision

Salary: $21.44 (reflects the entire pay rate). A starting salary higher than $21.44 (minimum pay rate) hourly is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale
