Description: This position, reporting to the Engineering Manager, is responsible for local ARP practice implementation and improvement. The Reliability Engineer is primarily responsible for increasing asset availability through the utilization of ARP reliability tools, methods, and practices. Activities require engineering and/or maintenance-based experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment, preferably those used in steel manufacturing processes and facilities. This position will participate in special projects and engineering activities to improve equipment reliability optimize maintenance costs and reduce equipment downtime. The Reliability Engineer will participate in annual outage planning processes to minimize downtime and ensure all maintenance performance will achieve equipment reliability. Due to the nature of manufacturing operations the incumbent may be required to be on-call and must be available for specific operations or projects. Some travel may be required for training and to support projects.
