Position Purpose
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for devising effective strategies for finished goods and materials inventory to maximize put away, positioning, and picking efficiency. This role will support Distribution and/or Material Operations Departments by reviewing accuracy of transactions, storage locations, storage types, case inventory, materials inventory and bin accuracy. Responsibilities will include collaboration and communications with compliance, quality control, distribution, material operations, bottling operations, special services, winemaking, customer service, and supply chain planning.
Essential Duties
- Provides Distribution and Material Operations Departments with strategies optimizing bin efficiencies and picking operations
- Monitors and maintains accurate inventory (case and bin) for both raw materials and finished goods using cycle counts
- Coordinates with Quality Control and Winemaking inventory holds/releases and ensures inventory determinations are carried out
- Validates availability of finished case good and/or materials inventory
- Works closely with customer service, compliance and quality control to transact inventory changes accurately
- Supports Distribution, Customer Service, Materials Operations, Quality Control, and Compliance teams through timely reconciliation of inventory variances and adjustments
- Makes transfers of materials and finished goods between Delicato Family Wines (DFW) locations in accordance with guidelines as required
- Reviews outbound and inbound documentation to ensure transactional accuracy
- Analyzes inventory volumes and forecasts, bottle age requirements and shipment velocity trends to develop inventory placement strategies
- Performs necessary functions for scheduled and unscheduled inventory cycle counts
- Maintains necessary files and documentation
- Produces and maintains various inventory and shipping reports and summarizes results
- Transacts SAP (ERP Software) moves to accurately process inventory
- Executes activities in SAP related to production demand
- Collaborates with planning and production to optimize scheduling and material availability
- Works with Compliance, Customer Service, Distribution, Planning and other customers to ensure all documentation is processed accurately
- Communicates with internal and external suppliers / customers to coordinate material deliveries as appropriate
- Receives materials for production lines including subcon POS (Point of Sale)
- Provides administrative support to Distribution and Material Operations Departments which includes ordering supplies, maintaining scorecards and communicating to internal and external customers
- Makes improvement recommendations and implements solutions that support production / business strategies that support internal and external customers
- Communicates cost center spend and provides detail of variations to monthly budget
- Assists in drafting annual budget for cost center
- Provides assistance in establishing performance objectives
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers
- Provides information to management with regard to KPI performance
- Carries out Skilled Material Handler duties, if needed
- Assists with project implementation and special projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Three or more years direct or related experience in an inventory or logistics role. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requires excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Experience involving customer contact, problem resolution, and related product knowledge. Must be able to plan, communicate, and organize multiple priorities. Certificates and Licenses N/A

The pay range for this position is $23.35 to $36.55. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
