Position Description |
Perimeter College invites applications for a lecturer in computer information systems. Lecturer positions are academic year (August-May) non-tenure track appointments, which may be renewed up to six (6) years. This is a teaching-focused position: 100% of the workload is instruction. Lecturers are responsible for providing 36 credit hours of instruction per academic year and maintaining weekly office hours. Perimeter College faculty maintain a campus presence, and the successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to early undergraduate teaching and learning, and the ability to thrive in a highly diverse academic setting. Perimeter College is a multi-campus institution, and the teaching assignment may be on any of the college's campuses. |

Required Education |
A minimum of a Master's degree required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required.
Salary Range Master's: $44,581 - $49,581 |
Preferred Qualifications/Experience |
- College teaching experience. One year is preferred and can include experience as a teaching assistant at a college or university.
- Experience teaching online and using a distance learning platform.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in high-impact educational practices, scholarship of teaching and learning, building college-to-career linkages, and/or other pedagogical initiatives that enhance student success.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in scholarship in the discipline and/or scholarship of teaching and learning.
- A Ph.D. in the teaching field is preferred. Salary Range Ph.D.: $49,731 - $54,731
