The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in the Department of Accountancy. We welcome candidates with teaching and research interests in one or more of the following areas: managerial accounting, information systems, or analytics. Consideration will be given to candidates for Assistant and Associate Professor positions. Candidates at the Associate Rank with strong credentials may be eligible for an endowed chair or professorship. Qualifications
* PhD or DBA in accounting, information systems, analytics, or a related discipline. We welcome applicants from outside the business school but require that applicants come from an institution where the business school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS. * ABDs will be considered. However, the doctoral degree must be completed by the start date. * Candidates must offer evidence of instructional effectiveness. Candidates also must demonstrate the potential to effectively utilize different teaching modalities and engage a diverse student population. * Evidence demonstrating the capability to publish in high-impact journals. For more senior candidates, the candidate must have an established and active research program. * Candidates will be evaluated on whether they demonstrate expertise in at least one area central to the accounting profession's growing focus on artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, analytics, technology, information systems and/or information security. Anticipated Hiring Range
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in publications and research. This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for tenure. Appointment to begin in August 2025. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
