Manufacturing Engineer(On Site)

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc., an established and respected manufacturer of precision products, has an immediate position available for a Manufacturing Engineer supporting CNC processes, specifying and designing tooling, fixtures, including selection, tolerancing, and cost effectiveness.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Analyze manufacturing processes to reduce cost, enhance quality and improve delivery performance.
  • Using Six-Sigma tools identify and implement solutions, which result in reduced process variation.
  • Support Manufacturing departments with daily problem solving.
  • Continuous improvement of Grind processes to reduce cost, and improve quality and delivery performance.
  • Disposition of defective product as member of Material Review Board.
  • Ongoing self-training to increase personal effectiveness.
  • Regularly report status of tasks and projects. Communicate results of work to all levels of the organization.
  • Prepare and revise written procedures to control manufacturing processes



SKILLS REQUIRED:




  • Must have very strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Desire to service internal and external customers is paramount.
  • Ability to handle diverse assignments from technical analysis, economic justification, & data entry.
  • Must consistently assisting the manufacturing department reach the department goals.
  • Must be capable of specifying and designing fixtures, include material selection, tolerance, and cost effectiveness.
  • Above average capabilities with computerized spreadsheet applications is desired. Experience in grinding operations is a plus.
  • Must have exceptional math skills
  • Strong experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Must have very strong computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office, CAD applications, and PC network environment.
  • CNC Experience is a plus.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

B.S. Mfg. Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience is required.

Pay Range:$74,300 - $119,000 Annual Exempt Salary

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift 40 lbs

Note: Physical job requirements may include standing, use of hands to assemble and or carry out job functions as well as sitting, lifting, carrying, bending and stooping during the course of the job.
