Description

This position performs a variety of technical and non-technical functions and has direct contact with a variety of company employees.

Normally receives moderate instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Makes recommendations in the design of system solutions, in addition to performing operational maintenance on enterprise systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Hardware and software inventory tracking. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the daily operations of the enterprise system infrastructure (physical and virtual) and affiliated operations/applications.
  • Assists in the planning/implementation of system evolution to meet reliability, maintainability, scale and capacity requirements.
  • Distribution and logging of all revisions to documentation as they occur. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  • Assists in the implementation of new systems to support infrastructure and applications in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Provides Tier 2 support for escalated service desk tickets following established protocols and mentorship to Systems Engineer I.
  • Other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • 4+ years of related Microsoft Solutions/Systems Administration experience.
  • Email scan / filtering systems experience (e.g. Proofpoint).
  • Experience with Hyper-V / VMware virtual infrastructure / SAN technologies.
  • Traveling as needed to other locations.
  • Working knowledge of networking principles and applications/technologies (e.g., TCP / UDP protocols, iSCSI, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Financial services industry experience is preferred.



A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary or pay for this position is $44.99/hr to $67.48/hr. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. A discretionary bonus and/or business line incentive may be provided, in addition to a medical and other benefits, dependent on the position.
