Job Description:

Oregon State Treasury is recruiting for the position of System Administration. This position ensures the reliability, availability, and recoverability of our network and system infrastructure.

Job Duties Summary

System Infrastructure Design, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Manage remote access and remote devices including maintenance and configuration of SCCM, Intune, and Direct Access.

  • Manage Cloud Infrastructure including Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 components.

  • Manage and support virtual servers, desktops, and other endpoints including installing, upgrading, and patching.

  • Design, implement and support group policies and secure configurations.

  • Enable and support Public Key Infrastructure environment.

  • Design, install, manage, and upgrade Secure FTP infrastructure in support of business processes.

  • Research, innovate and automate system administration.

  • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Windows Infrastructure.

Project Management and Execution

  • Coordinate, plan, develop, test, maintain, and implement technologies in support of agency business goals.

  • Evaluate, monitor, recommend, and implement new technologies.

  • Interpret and apply Treasury management and operational policies, relevant legislation, and industry standard practices.

  • Prepare progress reports and other written communication for agency staff and management.

  • Consult with users to provide alternate workflow and integrate new and existing technology in the process.

Second level Help Desk Support

  • Work with OST users to resolve incidents, and provide assistance and training as requested.

  • Serve as a liaison between users and appropriate IT staff when needed.

  • Document resolutions for future reference.

Work Schedule

This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will be predominately from Treasury's Salem office .

The schedule will be approximately 90+% time spent remote with a minimum of eight times per year in-office presence, two times each quarter. Based on business needs, this position may require additional days in office.

Salary Range

$75,216 - $113,664 annually.

Job Classification

This position is classified as a Information System Specialist 7 . This position is a SEIU represented position .

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of information systems experience in systems administration.

  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND four (4) years of information systems experience in systems administration.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience in systems administration.

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

  • Systems Administration Experience in a Windows environment including supporting group policies and secure configurations.

  • Experience with a variety of Microsoft products, including Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, Microsoft 365, and Azure.

  • Experience in planning, managing, and troubleshooting virtual infrastructures.

  • Experience managing and maintaining secure FTP technologies and public key infrastructures.
