Opportunity: We're seeking a compassionate optometrist who wishes to serve a much-needed patient population in West Virginia. The ideal candidate is a hard-working individual with good patient communication skills and a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating eye conditions. Candidates should be adept at solving eye health issues while empathetically dealing with patients' concerns. This optometrist should be familiar with modern eye examination equipment and electronic health records-specifically Eyefinity software.

Our practice opened this year (2023) and we're already looking to expand to multiple practices. We will need an optometrist with a growth mindset and leadership skills to eventually fill a clinical director role as we grow. There is an opportunity to buy into this practice.

This optometrist position is located in Charleston, the largest city in West Virginia. Charleston has a wonderful balance between small-town charm and capital-city life. The cost of living is substantially lower than in other capital cities and it's close to some of the most beautiful hiking trails and parks in the country.

About Us: At A2Z Eye Care, we're committed to enhancing the vision and well-being of our community. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized optometric services to patients in need of care. We specialize in routine eye and contact lens examinations, as well as overall ocular health screenings. We have the latest eye care equipment including an auto-refractor, NCT, Optos, lensometer, slit lamp, and phoropter.

What You'll Do: As part of our team, you'll practice full-time (40 hours, with a 16-hour minimum). You will provide daily eye care to 15-20 patients of all ages, and visual/medical conditions. You'll perform patient examinations, recommend vision-enhancing solutions based on prescription findings, and handle eye emergencies.

Who We're Seeking: A West Virginia licensed optometrist with liability insurance. Must be a team player and willing to collaborate with staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure the success of the practice. Must be willing to stay updated with credits to maintain their license and meet the requirements of the region.
