This key role is responsible for a broad range of tax disciplines focused on the US branch operations of a Netherlands bank including tax provision, international tax, state and local tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing.

You and Your Job

As the VP of Tax you will be successful in applying the ever changing tax law to your roles and responsibilities.

The Vice President will report directly to the Executive Director who reports directly to the Managing Director, Head of NA Tax. As Vice President of Tax, the incumbent is the primary point of contact for tax related matters. The VP of Tax will liaise with other members of the organization including Head Office Tax personnel to enhance the tax function.

Job Responsibilities

  • Tax planning and compliance for international bank.
  • Understanding of income tax accounting standards for US and IFRS GAAP.
  • Experience with automation of tax provisions and tax returns with particular focus on state apportionment and unitary state filings.
  • Extensive knowledge of FATCA and information reporting for preparation of annual tax information reporting and withholding payments.
  • Assist on US and global tax projects, Research & Development tax credit, transfer pricing, Pillar II, tax planning, etc.

To be considered for the VP - Tax Compliance Officer role, you must have experience in banking or finance industry with working knowledge of the tax aspects related to US branch of foreign corporation including but not limited to:

  • Interest expense under Treas. Reg 1.882-5
  • Interbranch interest income and expense
  • Base erosion and anti-abuse tax (BEAT)
  • NECI and ECI concepts
  • Home office expense
  • Information reporting
  • State sourcing rules for US entity and Foreign Branch
  • Unitary state filing experience
  • Automation experience to enhance efficiency
  • Perform Tax technical research
  • Tax Controversy
  • Adhoc requests such as the enactment of Pillar II

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $160,000.00 - $185,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
