Summary:

In this role, you will direct and maintain the shared platforms that support Vizient's information technology environment. You will support both internal and external customers, managing relationships with business units, enterprise architecture, the platform strategy team, and consumers of shared platforms. You will ensure that platform capabilities are resilient, scalable, and performant to the needs of their customers.

Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with Senior Leadership, establish and drive Vizient's overall enterprise strategy, in line with the organization's vision, leveraging best practices in platform technologies.
• Ensure that policies, standards, and procedures for security and data are being enforced and adhered to.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Engineers and Architects to support the shared platform environment.
• Coach and develop staff, ensuring progressive growth and development.

• Oversee the evaluation, selection, design, implementation, and maintenance of existing technologies.
• Evaluate existing software and vendors based on guidance from Enterprise Architecture and make recommendations for toolset consolidation.
• Work collaboratively with other teams on enterprise-wide toolset rationalization projects.
• Ensure that all platform technologies have documented standards and best practices and that platform consumers are educated and adhere to those standards.

• Work with the senior leadership to determine estimated costs of setup and maintenance of the platform infrastructures, including setup costs, monthly recurring charges, and labor costs for implementation and support.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of relevant management experience required.

• Experience in infrastructure, cloud, and security principles for hybrid cloud and cloud-native systems required.
• Experience with effective communication skills required.
• Experience with Active Directory and concepts is required.
• Familiarity with legacy and modern security protocols is required.

• Preferred experience in legacy and modern security protocols.
• Preferred experience with SDLC concepts and release management.
• Understanding and skills with data transmission, EDI, and virtualization.
