Your role on the team: The Senior Inventory Manager is responsible for multi-site planning, directing, controlling, and evaluating all inventory practices, results and improvements needed for specified accounts within the campus or region. The Senior Inventory Manager is responsible for directing the inventory teams and is responsible for safe, profitable operations in all accounts. * Manages customer relationships proactively to deliver overall customer satisfaction; while ensuring high level of customer satisfaction by communicating frequently with assigned customer and following up on customer concerns and/or requests * Reviews Inventory Control Key Performance Indicators to determine progress toward stated contractual goals and objectives * Performs root cause analysis and provides management recommendations for improvement on defects affecting results. * Analyzes inventory results and adjustments in all accounts to ensure compliance to customer expectations and metrics; alerting operations leadership if any results are not meeting expectations * Implements the inventory program and adheres to all customer and GEODIS inventory requirements * Initiates process improvement teams and maintains an action log with the operational teams * Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded results in the service * Reviews costs and makes changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operations by reducing shrink claims and inventory losses * Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between WMS inventory and customer system of record and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies * Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current for assigned account * Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor What you need: (requirements) * Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university * Minimum of 6 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint * Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations * Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form What you gain from joining our team:
