Description and Requirements

About Our Team

Lenovo is hiring a Performance Architect for the GPU cluster solutions we develop for the Cloud Service Provider market.

Location: Morrisville, NC

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement methodologies, architectures, software frameworks and tools for the deployment, management, evaluation, and testing of Lenovo's GPU cluster solutions
  • Design and implement performance benchmarks and workloads, and conduct performance evaluation and tuning for the compute, network, and storage subsystems and the entire cluster solutions
  • Analyze performance issues, implement solutions, and create reference designs for internal teams and customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to business projects and customer engagements

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in performance benchmarking and analysis
  • Experience with compute architecture (CPU, GPU, PCIe, memory, network, storage, etc.) and system software (Linux kernel, CUDA, MPI, NCCL, RCCL, UCX, etc.)
  • Experience with AI benchmarks, applications, and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, Go, shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with AI workload performance analysis in production environments
  • Experience with datacenter network performance evaluation and optimization
  • Ability to innovate and publish at top conferences
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
