We are seeking a full-timepediatric psychologist positionproviding consultation, intervention and supportive services to children, adolescents, and families as part of collaborative team within our hospital's Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Service. The focus of the position is to provide services within our ambulatory subspecialty clinic divisions collaborating in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of medical conditions. We are specifically seeking a psychologist with expertise and strong interest in healthy weight/bariatrics, G/I, and feeding and eating disorders. This role will involve supporting the patients, families, and medical teams primarily in the outpatient specialty setting, with opportunities to follow patients when medically admitted as indicated. The psychologist will also provide consultative support and coverage across other ambulatory specialty services, such as endocrinology, allergy, and cardiology as needed. Additionally, the psychologist will utilize clinical time to supervise doctoral-level psychology students and fellows working within the service. The position carries an academic appointment within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, which is one of only two independent child and adolescent psychiatry departments within an academic medical center in the nation. The IBH psychologist hired in this role will report to the Director of Psychology, Hassenfeld Children's Hospital. Supervision and mentorship will also be available from other seasoned psychologists in the Department and across the NYU health system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preferred Qualifications Prior clinical experience in pediatric psychology settings. Prior experience in program development and evidence-based assessment of patients with acute and chronic medical conditions and their families. Strong interest in clinical supervision, quality improvement, and research. Minimum Annual Salary: $111,351 Maximum Annual Salary: $116,792 NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The annual salary range for a junior faculty role is $111,351 to $116,792. Candidates who qualify for higher faculty appointments are also encouraged to apply. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including faculty appointment, credentials, research history, specialty, and health system need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
