Scope of Position

This position, under specific direction from the site manager, or an assigned supervisor, maintains photovoltaic power and energy storage systems. The scope includes, but not limited to full system installation, commissioning, maintenance, system performance evaluation and troubleshooting of power and energy systems.
Responsibilities
Supervision of Others: * During certain situations may have to oversee contractors and sub-contractors to support mission. Working Conditions:
- Time spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.
- Time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and/or internal customers' sites in additional to attending various meetings. Job requires working in 15platforms. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat and safety glasses at all times. Each job site may be different, and must be accessed individually. Repetitive use of legs, arms, hands and fingers. Able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, overtime and night shifts as required. 25% of travel may be required based on needs of company..
Qualifications
- 2+ years electrical experience
Education/Experience:
- Commercial Photovoltaic Maintenance/Repair: 1 year
- Hands-on commercial photovoltaic electrical : 1 year
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- OSHA 10 training
- Knowledge of electrical code and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work independently
- Focused on efficiency and removing labor hours from tasks or projects
- Knowledgeable in all MS applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Willing to travel on short notice
- Experience using a CMMS system for maintenance tracking (SAP Preferred)
Skills
- Troubleshooting of AC / DC high, medium, low voltage and control circuits.
- using and understanding testing and diagnostic equipment (multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.)
Knowledge
- In-depth testing and troubleshooting of medium voltage and high voltage equipment to include transformers, potential transformers, current transformers, current transducers, breakers, relays, contactors, breakers, motors and inverters.
- Solar industry best practices, NEC requirements, and diagnosis/repair of common solar failures.
- Electrical safety and arc flash standards.

- Work well with subcontracted construction personnel in resolution of issues identified in the field during that phase of a project.
- Communicate effectively with team members to include interacting with other disciplines in a multi-cultural environment.
- Has a desire to learn and develop within the role.
- Confident, ability to work on own initiative and resourcefulness to complete all assigned tasks.
- Flexibility, able to adapt and comply with Company/Client requirements.
A plus if you have...
- Appropriate licensing to work as an electrician. For example, C10.
- NABCEP certification or other component specific solar certifications a plus

- Able to work at heights, including climbing up and climbing down ladders.
- Able to work in an electrical environment. This may have been achieved through formal training, previous work experience, or the ability to demonstrate electrical skills.
- Able to operate company vehicles (field trucks), both onsite as well as on public roads and highways. Must have a current driver's license with a good DMV printout.
- Demonstrate good work habits, including but not limited to attendance, and maintaining a neat and orderly work
