Nuclear Maintenance Site Manager - South
Day & Zimmermann is actively accepting applications for
Nuclear Maintenance Site Managers based in Wadsworth, TX. As Site Manager you will manage multiple units/projects on a single site being independently responsible for the successful execution of all contract obligations and labor agreements at assigned site as well as ensure that all work is performed in a safe and productive manner and in accordance with the quality standards of both the customer and D&Z. You will serve as the principle contact to the customer for day to day operational issues and business development opportunities. You will effectively manage relationships with the local labor officials and key client stakeholders; as well as be responsible for maintaining internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through continuous learning and development.
The Big Picture - What You Need To Bring To The Table:
- Ability to communicate effectively with Customer, site staff and craft employees and recommend process improvements to key Customer leadership contracts, specifically within a matrix organization. Strong knowedge and understanding of labor management and how to apply regulatory guidelines to practice.
- Ability to identiy successors, coach, and provide development opportunities to employees
- Ability to negotiate skillfully and use effective listening skills to identify concerns
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and labor relations
- Extensive knowledge of finance and cost controls
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 + years experience in the power industry
- Completion of Journeyman Program and/or Equivalent Combination of Education and Expertise Required; PMP Certification preferred
What You Will Be Doing:
- Responsible for the overall safety of staff and craft employees at assigned site. Accountable for developing, implementing and evaluating the site safety plan and the Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) program
- Direct, delegate and execute work through others at site safely, within budget, and in accordance with terms of contract, while providing input to the strategy for site execution plans and project performance improvement. Develop the customer communication plan and determine organizational approach to meet customer needs. Have a strong understanding of labor management and workforce development.
- Responsible for strategically executing the contract to the financial benefit of the company. Independently manage, create and provide accurate estimates and project scope. Extensive knowledge of finance and cost controls as well as earned value.
- Oversee orientation and development of onsite staff and craft employees, including employee relations, human performance and productivity, performance management and employment management. Develop and implement contingency plans to address specific executional needs.
- Responsible for building strong Customer relationship network and act as a subject- matter expert for all aspects of contract services and contractual obligations.
- Resolve significant contractual issues with Customer and subcontractor/vendor representatives

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $96,000.00- $210,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes)
