Responsibilities

Business Process Manager

Responsible for overseeing and managing STRATTEC's information technology strategic projects. This includes, but not limited to the ERP (enterprise resource planning) and EDI (electronic data interchange) business information systems and operations to maximize internal business information system functionality, sustainability, reliability, and accessibility throughout the Company's global operations. Duties will include overseeing and managing new project requests as well as continuous improvement and application problem solving within the Company's existing ERP and EDI systems. Day-to-day duties will require position incumbent to:

    Develop and manage continuous improvement projects in conjunction with the Continuous Improvement Engineers to reduce system err rates as well as to ensure the quality and reliability of the Company's business information systems.
  • Perform project management regarding the design, development, testing and management of STRATTEC's ERP and EDI systems.
  • Direct, oversee, manage, as well as provide both technical and functional guidance and training to a geographically dispersed team of Company business information and process professionals and support staff, in both the US and Mexico.
  • Lead the identification and strategic development and implementation of more effective and efficient methods, networks, systems, and processes to use electronic business information gathering, storing, processing, and sharing, including the Company's customized ERP and EDI systems, based on best business practices and stakeholder requirements, in both the US and Mexico.
  • Oversee and direct the development of system generated workflows using IoT software to improve business information system efficiencies.
  • Oversee and direct the development of support business procedures to improve current flow and match software processes.
  • Keep informed about advances in technology including hardware, software, and methods; recommend changes when needed to obtain maximum results with Information Services; maintain personal training in selected technology.
  • Oversee and direct the provision of application support to end users of the Company's business information systems, in both the US and Mexico.
  • Direct and guide the design and development of user documentation and training regarding the Company's business information systems, with particular emphasis on the ERP and EDI systems.
  • Provide gap analysis of existing team members' technical skill sets and recommend training plans and courses.
  • Lead business information system team meetings.


Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a field of Information Systems (IS), Information Management (IM), Information Technology (IT), or Business Administration with concentration in either IS, IM or IT.

Two years of experience in the functional and technical design, development, implementation and maintenance of both the front-end and back-end components of client-server and internet-based components for electronic data interchange (EDI), enterprise resource planning (ERP), or e-commerce applications; identification of most effective and efficient methods for a business to utilize business systems, including ERP and EDI systems; performance of business needs mapping for application development; database server design and development using SQL Server; and utilization of business intelligence tools, web technologies (including HTML, XML, Java Script), as well as project management tools (including Jira and Confluence).

Work from home flexibility for up to 3 days per week, but must reside within commuting distance of Milwaukee, WI, to attend weekly in-person meetings

Position requires little (20%) domestic and international travel required to other STRATTEC locations.
