Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Division is seeking an E & I Maintenance Technician to join the Port Hudson Mill located near Zachary, LA. Our Team The Port Hudson Mill is the proud producer of household products such as Brawny and Quilted Northern. The mill is located in the sportsman's paradise of Southern Louisiana just 20 minutes north of Baton Rouge.Compensation: The starting pay for this position is $38.87 per hour. Shift: Maintenance supports both a Monday through Friday shift 7-3:30 they also support the rotating 12 hour shift. Rotating shifts are 5:30-5:30 4 on 4 off with 2 days/2 nights each shift. What Will You Do * Maintain and troubleshoot PLC's, Process controls, electrical, instrument, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery and installing new equipment and support projects as assigned * Perform routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment throughout the mill. * Perform emergency troubleshooting and maintenance on failed equipment to ensure minimal production downtime. * Maintain accurate maintenance logs including labor hours and critical preventative maintenance findings * Work with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs/improvement ideas * Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures and actively participating in safety program including wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) * Keeping plant equipment in good working order consistent with company policies, equipment manuals and good engineering practices * Work weekends, holidays, overtime and as needed * Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions in a facility where hazardous chemicals are present * Lift at least 50 lbs. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * One Or More of the following: * Two (2) years or more of experience as a Journeyman Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in an industrial environment * A two (2) year degree or higher in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering and two (2) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience * Three (3) years or more of industrial electrical maintenance experience * Experience reading electrical drawings. * Knowledge of electrical and other hazards and precautions including safety procedures, NFPA 70 arc flash electrical safety, and OSHA regulations * Knowledge/experience with plant floor automation and office Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNET, network wiring and Fiber Optic Networks * Experience diagnosing and repairing various electrical and electronic equipment ranging in voltages from 24VDC to 480 VDC * Experience using both DC and AC motors, PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, and Servo Controlled Systems What Will Put You Ahead * Computer skills for record-keeping and documentation functions. * Rockwell AC drive troubleshooting * Delta-V use in troubleshooting * Experience troubleshooting and maintaining packaging equipment At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
