Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Regional Reliability Engineer for our Plywood Group in a remote capacity with extensive travel. The successful candidates will support our locations in Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas, and must be mobile to aid two manufacturing facilities within a short driving distance. The ideal candidate would reside in a South-Central state. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a long-term career vision, with aspirations to move into key managerial roles within our organization. Our Team The Regional Reliability Engineer will be responsible for driving and maintaining reliability within operations. The selected candidate will serve as a technical resource, offering expertise on equipment, improving maintenance and operational practices, and advancing the use of technology. This role involves managing multiple reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve targeted results. The role will actively interface with all levels of the organization within the facility and external groups. What You Will Do * Apply and teach Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) concepts, conducting effective training across all departments to enhance overall reliability knowledge. * Implement and refine workflow process improvements within the maintenance operations to increase uptime and optimize resource utilization. * Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving teams effectively. * Create value, focus on results, and demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skills. * Pursue continuing education in reliability applications, practices, and management. * Maintain familiarity with Safety and Environmental Regulations. * Lead the development of skills and knowledge within the Maintenance Department. * Commitment to working safely and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). * Ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods in noisy, non-climate-controlled areas. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Five (5) years or more of experience in maintenance supervisory roles and/or manufacturing systems reliability. * Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery, including conveyor systems, breakers, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, etc. * Strong oral and written communication skills that promote collaborative teamwork and the ability to influence others. * Demonstrated experience in leading improvement efforts in Maintenance Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, and utilizing Root Cause Analysis or similar problem-solving tools. * Intermediate or higher-level proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software. * Willingness to travel up to 75% to manufacturing locations within the responsible region. What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience. For this role we anticipate paying $100,000-$135,000.
