Our Georgia-Pacific mill in Muskogee OK is seeking innovative and qualified professionals to consider joining our team as a Power Distribution Reliability Engineer. As a Power Distribution Reliability Engineer at Georgia Pacific, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our power distribution systems. You will work collaboratively with E & I, maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize power distribution network performance, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. This position requires a highly motived individual with excellent communication skills who enjoys working in a multi-faceted environment. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated capability in power system equipment monitoring and testing. What You Will Do * Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture * Ensure 100% compliance 100% of the time to OSHA, Georgia-Pacific, state, and federal standards and accounting practices for all equipment and work in the assigned area * Ensure that all electrical work and installations are performed in accordance with GP Standards, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E * Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to enhance the reliability of power distribution systems * Conduct root cause analysis on power distribution failures and implement corrective actions * Monitor power distribution systems using advanced diagnostic tools and data analytics to identify potential issues before they lead to system failures * Analyze power quality and system performance to recommend improvements * Study and review the oil sample reports on our major transformers to determine if corrective actions are needed and such actions to completion * Expand and refine in-house technical capabilities in condition monitoring skills * Work with other Reliability Engineers to share knowledge and gain expertise in development of mill wide reliability strategies, actively participate in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to reduce delays due to power interruption. * Participate and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions related to electrical equipment distribution equipment mill wide * Develop and communicate multiyear plan power distribution spend plan * Responsible validating and tracking financial savings or cost avoidance * Provides engineering support and leadership to drive continuous improvement to power systems reliability in the development of the mill * Identify electrical distribution equipment obsolescence plan. * Keeping the mills power study up to date utilizing Easy Power software Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Proficiency in Power Distribution up to 15kV, System Grounding, Lighting Systems, Motor Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Engineering and Construction Scope definition * Experience developing and implementing maintenance strategies for electrical equipment including but not limited to transforms, breaker, switchgear, and MCCs * Experience trouble shooting electrical equipment in manufacturing/industrial or military environment * Experience managing and prioritizing work utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) * Experience with interpreting data from SAP, PI Vision, and contractor reports to identify possible reliability issues What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Electrical Engineering and/or Paper Science * Five (5) or more years of experience working within a pulp and paper manufacturing operation within an engineering capacity * Certifications or continued education in of fields of ultrasound, thermography, and/or oil analysis * Certification or continued education in reliability applications, practices, and management * Experience with Reliability Improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Preventative/Predictive maintenance, KPIs Six Sigma experience or certification * Experience managing and prioritizing work utilizing SAP CMMS At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
