* Reviews written or electronic blueprints and specifications for a job; Selects the tools and materials needed for the assembly, including calibration equipment, hand tools, etc.; Inspects tools and materials prior to assembly.
* Requests parts and workpieces needed for and during shift; ensures necessary resources are available at the workstation; Positions parts and workpieces as necessary for assembly; Ensures parts and components are properly assembled together; Identifies assembly problems; notifies team lead as appropriate; Assembles actuators in multiple value streams (100% indicates ability to assemble all actuators.)
* Inspects assembled components visually and with appropriate tools and tests; Tests finished assemblies for function; Uses gauges, calibration and measuring tools and equipment to check dimensions of parts prior to assembly and components post assembly; Checks accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications; Documents testing and quality control in appropriate forms and formats.
* Performs basic preventative maintenance including monitoring hand tools; Contacts team lead when tools are not operating within planned parameters; Checks and replaces tools as necessary.
* Understands and comprehends all forms of technical documents including: blue prints and drawings, written specifications, charts, tables, etc.; Reviews blueprints, sketches and written specifications according to requirements.
* Maintains a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history.
* Continuously drive productivity improvements.
* Works safely and as part of a team.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Education: High School diploma required. Entry-level assembly experience, training, licenses and/or certification is preferred.
* Experience: 1 to 3 years of related experience, training, license and/or certifications. Requires the use of appropriate grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, including decimals and fractions. Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
* Physical Demand: Moderate physical effort consisting of frequent standing, twisting, bending, lifting, moving or turning average weight material. Must demonstrate manual dexterity and may be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
