About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Development Governance team as a Sr. Architectural Designer (Concept Design) based in Shelton, CT. The Sr. Architectural Designer (Concept Design) is a conceptual thinker with the ability to transform abstract ideas or strategic insights into attractive and buildable design concepts. Collaborating closely with the Sr. Director and the Global Design & Construction team, they will use their strong knowledge of architectural and graphic design to execute brand objectives with speed and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Contribute significantly to the development of design concepts, focusing on innovation and creativity while aligning with project objectives and brand requirements.
  • Produce detailed and accurate graphic layouts, production ready artwork, design intent drawings, specifications, and other project documentation, meeting regulatory and code requirements.
  • Develop environmental and FF&E related graphics that support specific projects/components and creates a cohesive look and feel across an entire design system.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Director of Global Design & Construction and the Sr. Design Standards Specialist on all phases of design including concept development, prototyping, product review and documentation. Provide graphic support to assist with the implementation into our standards vehicles such as the Operations Manual and Design Standards Manual.
  • Assist with project management, including planning, organizing, and overseeing design tasks, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.


Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction or Graphic Design preferred.
  • 3+ years in graphic design, interior design and architecture design.
  • QSR, Fast Casual or Retail design experience a plus.
  • Clear communication style with internal and external partners on a global stage.
  • Expert knowledge of 3D design software. Essential to communicate design concepts broadly. Ex: SketchUp, Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of sustainability trends and best practices.
  • Current knowledge of design industry trends.

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
