Position Summary

A2 Fab Area Lead to perform leadership functions associated with one or multiple wafer production operations, including Etch, Lift Off, Photolithography, Thin Film/Metals. Lead ensures quality of output through effective leadership and motivation. Seeking a results-driven individual who is passionate about this role and continually strives for improvement. Position will pay 5% premium on top of your current pay.

Job Description

Primary Responsibility:



  • Performs leadership functions associated within the Etch, Lift Off, Photolithography or Thin Films/Metals area and additional wafer production operations as necessary.
  • Ensures quality processing in a timely manner and according to established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Utilize factory tools such as FabTime, PROMIS, CIM, FPS, and other resources to make decisions on productivity and prioritize.
  • Works with EES and/or Process Engineering to coordinate set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment.
  • Collects and evaluates operating data to ensure on-line equipment and process optimization
  • Assists in identifying potential issues to workflow, procedures and documentation issues.
  • Ensures accurate and complete pass-down, set-up, and that TECOs and ECNs are communicated appropriately.
  • May coach or train other technicians.
  • Helps to monitor training and re-certifications.
  • Assists supervisors in ensuring that all employees follow company policies and procedures, including cleanroom policies and procedures.
  • Assist supervisors in the coordination of training activities, scheduling work assignments and workload, and prioritization.
  • Actively participates in meetings that impact quality and productivity as necessary.

Required Experience and Skills

  • High school degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a high-volume production environment or leadership role.
  • Must have strong leadership, coaching skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to use good judgment and exhibit effective problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with other teams or departments and participate in cross-functional teams, as needed.
  • Able to create a team environment among co-workers by motivating and encouraging positive morale and teamwork, leading by example, and always acting in a professional manner.
  • Must have a substantial understanding of production operations in the Fab and be willing to apply their knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action needed to resolve production issues.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$16.63 -$26.92 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
