Entry Machine Operator

Duncan Stewart Plant

Job Description:

The Entry Machine Operator reports to the area supervisor and is cross trained in warping, creeling, and backwinding. The duties will vary between these areas depending on demand.

Overview:

The Entry Operator is responsible for creeling packages, operating the winders, loading and unloading yarn, and performing all safety, quality and production requirements involved in the position.

Capabilities Needed:

  • Able to understand yarn labels and tell the difference between various types of yarn
  • Able to load yarn from the conveyor into buggies or onto carts and push
  • Able to rack yarn in creel on 6 levels of arbors, which includes bending and reaching
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to go up and down stairs
  • Able to follow instructions, including training instructions such as standard work, creel boards, diagrams of creel, and verbal instructions from management.

Work Schedule:

8am - 6pm, M-F is a typical work week. This can extend to Saturday if needed for production needs.
