DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and information. Operate a multi-line telephone console system. Determine and assign the level of priority of the call and enter the data into a computer-aided dispatch system. Monitor and operate a radio console for notification and communication with officers. Responsible for determining the nature of emergency and non-emergency services and complaints calls received, as well as the location of the callers. Ask vital questions and gather information from callers while providing excellent customer service. Ask questions to interpret, analyze and anticipate the caller's situation as to resolve problems, provide information, dispatch response services, or refer callers to other agencies Perform log entries and document all officer activities in computerized dispatch system. Assign incident reports as required and related to responsible personnel. Monitor and review CCTV video footage, access control systems, panic alarms, intrusion alarms and other information gathering tools and dispatches and alerts personnel accordingly. Present findings and effectively communicate with appropriate stakeholders and/or outside authorities. Adhere to University of Missouri System, campus, healthcare and departmental policies and procedures. Perform related duties as assigned, which may include duties outside area of responsibility with oversight. Execute emergency responsibilities including on-call for weekends, holidays and after hours as designated. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be obtained is required.One (1) year of customer service related experience, or current MUHC staff with nine (9) months of Telecommunications Operator experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
